Hmm...I liked to draw mermaids ever since I watched Disney's "The Little Mermaid" when I was young.
 I used to do the fish tail just like Ariel, then I decided that was too unoriginal and a friend of mine who is very good at art commented once about how unrealistic Ariel's tail is, coz there's no fins  ; So I added fins. I have no reference for sea creatures, so I have no idea how to fill the background and just left it at that. T.T This isn't done with white color pencils on black paper by the way *swt* I just negative the picture coz I liked the effect better ^^. Mermaid #1: *at jellyfish* Uwaa~ kirei~!! Mermaid #2: Deshou~??! Mermaid #1: Can I touch it? Please? Mermaid #2: Of course, but be careful~~ Jellyfish: *preening* Crab: T.T Nobody cares about me... XDXDXD |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. and the mermaids, and the jelly fish *ignores crab* XD;;;
frankly, it's a little difficult to make out some parts with the pic negatived.
